2018 Gazette issue 1
18 Hola Familias— I am extremely happy for the opportunity to be part of the Charlotte Prep School Family. We’ve had a fun first few weeks of school learning greetings, Spanish alphabet and lots of hands on classroom activities. I love seeing the enthusiasm for learning Spanish! In celebration of the National Hispanic Heritage Month, (September 15—October 15) our 7th and 8th grade students did an amazing job on their projects. Eight graders had to choose and write about a Famous Hispanic and Latin American person. In the their reports, they included a picture of person, country flag, brief biography and some fun facts. They enjoyed sharing their projects with their classmates! Español con… Sra. Morales ¡Bienvenidos! Our seventh graders were assigned a Latin American country at the beginning of the school year. While learning greetings and introductions, they prac- ticed ¿de dónde eres? (Where are you from.?) Students used their assigned Latin American countries as part of their introductions during conversations. They researched and presented information about their countries in a lapbook. They had a blast!!
