15 I began my teaching career at Imagine School at North Port in 2008 teaching math and science to K, 1 st and 2 nd graders, looping with my students for 3 years. When we ceased this teaching model I moved to Kindergarten and taught K for 4 years. During that time I have served as team, subject and grade level leaders, taught professional development and mentored new teachers. I was recently a co-runner up for the Imagine National Teacher of the Year, a great honor that would not be possible without the support of many. My own research in how to best teach young children led me to Montessori and I began to implement some of the princi- ples into my own teaching early in my career. While this is my first year teaching Montessori, it feels very natural. It has been a wonderful journey that led me here to Charlotte Prep. I am currently undergoing Montessori training for pre-primary ages 3-6. I have learned to be a keen observer and reflective leader. I believe that each child can move mountains when given the right environment and guidance. I am so thrilled to serve as Charlotte Prep's advisor for the (Kiwanis) K-Kids Club for students grades 3-5. Thank you for welcoming me into the Charlotte Prep school community!
