14 Chris Stephenson will begin his 1st year coaching with the Charlotte Prep Basketball Program. Stephenson has been coaching at Charlotte High School for six years. He has coached both men and women’s basketball on many levels. Chris graduated from UNC Asheville receiving his four-year degree in health and wellness promotions. While at Asheville Stephenson managed to be a part of two conference championships. After his collegiate career, Stephenson had the excitement of playing professionally overseas in Lithuania, Germany and Iceland. Before reaching the college ranks Stephenson enjoyed his high school career at Charlotte High School where he received “All district” acknowledgements. Mallory Burton joins us as a first year coach with the Charlotte Prep basketball program. She has recently returned to her hometown of Charlotte County where she grew up playing basketball. This past May, she finished her collegiate basketball career at Ave Maria University, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Before transferring to Ave Maria, Mallory played two years of basketball at Northwood University. Previous to her college basketball experience, Mallory played at Charlotte High School for four years where she became the fourth all-time leading scorer in school history. She is also returning to the CHS women’s basketball program this year as an assistant coach.
