8 Annual Event Fundraising The Charlotte Preparatory School Annual Event is held each spring and is the school’s largest fundraising event. As a result of the generosity and hard work of Charlotte Preparatory School’s families, donors and supporters, the 2017 and 2018 annual events were very success- ful and raised over $107,000. A portion of these funds have been set aside to assist with future needs of the school, including the school expansion projects, while the remainder was put to work to fund many immediate updates and improvements to the school campus, facili- ties and curriculum. 2017 Annual Event The updated and improvements to the school campus, facilities, and curriculum funded from this event include: • New shelving for all of our Montessori Classrooms • Montessori Classroom supplies for our new Pre-primary Class • Two new sets of bleachers for the pavilion • Concrete slab by pavilion for new bleachers • Five robotics kits • Updated middle school science: four CPO Science curriculum kits • Updated middle school math to Advanced Big Ideas • Updated reading materials in our Lower Elementary Classrooms • Updated reading materials in our Pre-primary Classroom • Smartboards in all classrooms • 1:1 laptop computers for all of our Delta Students • Mercki server for our technology enhancements • Drones for new dronology elective • 3 digital microscopes • 1 school van • 2 basketball hoops for the pavilion • An additional storage shed for physical education equipment
