12 Master Plan and School Expansion The Elizabeth B. McGraw Foundation encouraged Charlotte Preparatory School to create a master plan. A master plan is a dynamic long-term planning document that provides a conceptual layout to guide future growth and development. Charlotte Preparatory School’s master plan has been complete and will be shared with our school community. At the present time, the Board and Mrs. Fear are working with contractors to obtain pricing of each phase. Once we get that information, we will set up a parent meeting to share our plan, phases of development and capital campaign steps. Facility Major Facility Improvements – Charlotte Preparatory School has implemented many major facility improvements over the past year. Those improvements include: • Replacement of three air conditioner units • Replacement of built in cabinets and sinks in Montessori and Lower Elementary classrooms • Exterior building repair • Building exteriors painted • Corrected downspouts and drainage concerns around the building • Addition of new bathroom in Pre-primary classroom • Addition of pavilion lights for facility safety • Fence repairs • Updated phones to provide an external and internal PA system for school safety and announcements • Replacement of lanai screens and repaired doors • Installation of new water fountain system • Sidewalk repairs • Roof repairs • Addition of a mobile classroom
