PreK-K: Listening (music-based stories, activities, etc), Singing, Dance, Basic Rhythmic skills w/percussion instruments, and Basic Life-skills through music (self-control, patience, taking turns, etc).
Grades 1-3: Continue to build from the preprimary years, but with an emphasis on performance. Students are given the opportunity to play instruments in a more structured context learning how to play/work as a group. Basic Rhythmic notation, Basic theory, and group-based performance activities are all employed.
